I actually like the background beat (sounds like something from an NES game), I think the vocal flow is pretty good and natural, but the lyrics leave a little to be desired. It starts out pretty good, and the chorus is really sweet, but some of the lyrics actually seem very stereotypical to me (like talking a lot about how great your rap is), and a couple of the offensive similes weren't really necessary. I'm not a huge fan of homophobic lines in rap, so the line in your second verse knocked a couple points off from me.
I respect the beats (although it was a little uber-repetitive) and you definitely have a very nice flow, but I personally was turned off by a good deal of the lyrics, especially after the first verse.

Very short, not the best singing in the world, and the lyrics felt stale and uninspired. The second verse in particular seemed very hastily formed, as it was simply a rearranging of words. In addition, the ending was distracting...it was too short (much like the song itself) to get the melody or beat in my head, and so it almost just seemed to go in one ear and then immediately out the other. I'm not always the biggest fan of "comedy songs," so that probably also influences my opinion here a little bit, but overall I just thought the song sounded hastily thrown together and without any melody or sound to grab my attention and making me want to come back and listen again.

This is one of my favorite tunes from the old Final Fantasy games, but I never really dug the fiddle version of the song...until now. I actually think this remix is better than the fiddle version found in FF VII. It has a fuller sound, and actually feels (to me at least) more like the original Chocobo theme (FF IV!) than the one found in VII. Still not completely my kind of thing (not a huge fan of fiddles), but this is definitely very well done!

"Like it, could do without vocals"
Overall, I really liked this song. It was danceable, but also changed itself often enough to keep it interesting even if you don't tend to like dance music (for me personally, the genre is pretty hit or miss). I like the combination of some "modern" sounds with keyboard parts that sound like NES videogames...I really love that. The only thing that bothered me was the inclusion of the random little vocal samples throughout...I just found them distracting, but I generally like my dance music to be without vocals (or at least not have random samples as the only vocal parts). Still a really good track, but could've been great without the vocals.

Well, personally I really like the vocals, but I can see how some people wouldn't like them :/
It's kinda a win/lose situation, if we took them out, someone would be pissed, if we left them in, someone else would say that they take away from the song :(
Oh well, can't get EVERYTHING right for everybody :D
Glad you liked it so much! Thanks for the review!

Yeah, it's repetitive. It's trance music...If something is labeled as "trance," I tend to come in expecting it to be pretty repetitive, and this track does a lot more with it's sounds than a lot of "mainstream" trance tracks. The only thing that really distracts me is the extended piano break at the two minute mark...although it creates a great "lull before the storm" feeling when the huge synths kick in afterward, it still breaks the flow of the song a little too much. Otherwise, though, excellent track.

This song manages to pack quite a punch considering it's less than three minutes long! I really like the slightly distorted sound of the main guitar, and the way the keyboard rolling in the chorus meshes with the guitars is pure aural bliss. Sounds kind of like a much heavier version of Ratatat with more keyboards added in. There is nothing I would change about this track the way it is right now!

Okay, I'm going to have to preface this by saying that I have heard the original "Beat is Coming," and I didn't really like it. I tend to prefer my techno without vocals, and the cheesy high-pitched voices found in the original (assuming, of course, that I've heard the true original...the problem with dance music is that remixes are everywhere, and after a while it's hard to tell them apart) are just horrible. Really, the only dance music I've found so far that I love that has vocals are Daft Punk and Underworld, and not all of their stuff uses vocals.
Anyway, I'll go as far to say that, musically, this is fuller and more "cohesive" than the original...maybe it's because I've listened to this version more, but I find that the original seems to be lacking something, while PhsyX's remix has filled in some of that background space with something. It's repetitive enough to dance to, and changes itself up enough to be a satisfying listen in general. Great remix, and a definite improvement on the original song.

"I'm still trying to wrap my head around this"
Crazy spastic for the first couple of minutes...especially starting at the 50 second mark, where no one sound seems to last for longer than a couple of seconds for the thirty to forty seconds. Then, it calms down a little, but still seems pretty hyper. Then, at 2:00, the song suddenly transforms into a slow-moving synth "dirge" if you will. Definitely not for everyone (and I'm not sure how many times I can listen to it, honestly), but if you like ultra spastic electronica, then this is definitely something to at least give a try.

"Nothing spectacular, but an enjoyable listen"
I liked the main riff, and the guitar work starting at 1:24 is a pretty cool change. The thing I'm not sure if I like or not is the way some of the percussion "slides" from one ear to the other while listening on headphones. It makes the song all that much more trippy, but at the same time is a little bit disorienting. Nothing in this song is something I haven't heard before sound wise, but it was put together in a way that was fairly enjoyable. I'm not sure if you were going for trippy or not, but one thing that I think could heighten that would be some more time changes/having something come completely unannounced (such as changing the way the entire song is going partway through). That being said, those are just what I personally like to hear, and I know that random changes like that sometimes irk people, so I'm not saying it would necessarily make the song "better," but I personally would like it more.
Anyway, the bottom line is that I really liked this, and will definitely check out some of your other songs!

The lead guitar riffing, although nothing too special, was entertaining. Unfortunately, the drums and backing guitar sound was a little too "static-y" for my taste. It just sounded like it was poorly mixed, which was a little jarring considering how clean and good the main guitar sounded. I would probably like it quite a bit more if the background was a little "cleaner," but it still showed some promise and never really dragged.
